Community Service

Thoroughbred Chapter members are committed to giving back to the communities where they live and work through a variety of service projects.

Chapter uses 2026 Week of Caring to benefit Paws 4 the Cause

The Thoroughbred Chapter wrapped up the 2026 Week of Caring with a visit to Paws 4 the Cause. We're proud to support this organization after its vice president, Anita Spreitzer, was honored as our 2025 Communicator of the Year. We appreciate everyone who donated cleaning supplies, towels, blankets and gift cards to help provide care to animals waiting for their forever homes.

If you’re interested in fostering, please reach out to Paws 4 the Cause to learn how to help animals that urgently need foster homes.

Kids' Coat Drive to benefit children in Central/Eastern Kentucky

Coat Artwork.png

We kicked off our Kids' Coat Drive at our Media Panel Luncheon in September. This effort supports "A Coat to Keep the Cold Away," a youth coat drive sponsored by the Believing in Forever charity founded by our 2024 Communicator of the Year Honoree Devine Carama.

You'll have the opportunity at our upcoming events to donate NEW coats for children in Central/Eastern Kentucky. All sizes are needed, with 7/8 and 10/12 needed the most.

You can also support this cause by making a monetary donation online here
